Hi there! I am a final year undergraduate student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
From the very beginning, I was passionate about automobiles which led me to pursue mechanical engineering in one of the elite universities of the nation.
I have worked as a UG Research Assistant to Dr. Jeffrey P. Chrstos, Centre for Automotive Research (CAR), The Ohio State University. Currently, I am working
as a Research Collaborator with the Verification & Validation team at WMG, University of Warwick and as a Controls Engineer at Revolute Robotics.
I am a die-hard Formula 1 fan with Max Verstappen being my favorite driver and Scuderia Ferrari, my favorite constructor. When it comes to circuits, I prefer Marina Bay
Circuit and Circuit de Monaco. I like to play PC games like GTA, F1 and FPS games like Call of Duty, quite a lot. Coming to music, Alan Walker, Maroon V and
The Chainsmokers are my all-time preferred composers and the most efficient stress busters.
I am a curious cat and my search history is the evidence for the same! Being a keen learner, I love to read self-help books as well as those
on human psychology and strong personalities like APJ Abdul Kalam, Elon Musk, etc. I am also inclined towards blogging,
in my free time. Occasionally, I do spend time writing poems corresponding to various genres. If you are interested, please visit the Few Words section.
Primarily, my research interests lie in the field of automotive engineering, vehicle controls, and model-based development, automated driving, ADAS, and CAV development and
testing.
I believe that the combination of automotive engineering as well as conceptual understanding of Computer Science and vehemence in programming would be the best
fit for the autonomous driving industry. Driverless vehicles can minimize road accidents significantly and can help save human lives. I wish to contribute to this ideology
as a professional researcher in the industry.
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Micro Specialization: Embedded Control, Software, Modeling and Design
Major CGPA: 9.19/10 | Micro CGPA: 9.64/10
Science with Computer Science
Class X - CGPA: 9.8/10
Class XII - Grade: 93.6%
Currently, I am working with Dr. Siddartha Khastgir and his team as a research collaborator to develop robust translators
for Scenario Description Language (SDL) (and its levels) which is commonly used in ADS simulations.
I have worked with Dr. Jeffrey P. Chrstos on the performance assessment of Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) simulators.
The project is focused on the evaluation of platform’s motion, steering response and visual cues.
As a summer intern for a duration of 3 months, I worked on the memory footprint and inference time reduction for Deep
Learning models used in automotive applications. I used AI compilers like TVM, Glow and MATLAB to generate deployable
executables for the target hardware and developed a consolidated method to facilitate easier deployment of DL models.
This internship was aimed at exploring and implementing state-of-the-art SLAM algorithms. I worked with the Octomap
representation of lidar point clouds for better visualisation of maps. Also, I implemented the Particle Filter (GMapping)
SLAM algorithm to generate maps using lidar and odometry data.
This internship was aimed at the applications of Machine Learning for lane following and intersection management of autonomous vehicles.
I generated the required datasets and formulated the Markov Decision Process representation.
I was involved with the R&D team to contribute to the autonomous drone, rover and valve automation projects. Initially, I worked on the
autonomous landing of the drone using image processing on Raspberry Pi4 and on the design, analysis, and testing of the GSM-operated
motorized valve control.
